We are delighted to announce that this year’s annual Yarn Shop Day, which was temporarily postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, has been rescheduled for Saturday 14th November.

WHAT IS YARN SHOP DAY?

Now in its seventh year, Yarn Shop Day is a successful, industry supported annual event that celebrates bricks-and-mortar yarn shops and actively motivates consumers to visit their local store. Part of the wider 'Love Your Yarn Shop' campaign, this year's event takes place on Saturday 14th November. Each store that signs up to the official campaign is encouraged, with the help of the resources and materials provided, to host a special event on the day to draw in customers – anything from free tea and cake to star appearances from knitting celebrities.

Historically Yarn Shop Day has taken place in the spring, but rescheduling the new date within the run up to Christmas offers a great opportunity to give this much-loved annual event a festive flavour!

Since its launch in 2014 Yarn Shop Day has gone from strength to strength with feedback from delighted retailers including increased footfall, boosted sales and in some cases their best day of trading ever. The campaign is heavily promoted in-print and online by market-leading magazines Let’s Knit, Let’s Get Crafting, Craft Business, Crafts Beautiful and Sew.
